Maggie and I are going to see if blogging will be a useful way to stay in touch while we are travelling. Would you bother looking here and sending posts as an addition to using personal emails?
Thanks Sibylla and Zoe for your encouraging comments. Jessica is keen but yet to POST. Sibylla suggested we post a map of the route so people can follow us as we go. Great idea, but I'm lost as to where to start. I've already mapped the route on my mapping page and in my GPS unit (it took about a week), but how do I get it into the blog? I'll expand my horizons and get it done! Renato
Getting very close to departure (7.30AM Tuesday 21 September - our wedding anniversary!). Putting ticks in all the to do boxes so we have time for the things we didn't predict - like paying the quarterly BAS in advance. Imagine! My father would turn in his grave (or his urn)to think of paying tax before the deadline! Trial pack of the backpacks has been done (7kg and 10kg respectively); cash cards loaded with a smattering of Euros and seats allocated.
Hey - your comments are all-Ramsay; you need some Hun comment from the wilderness (as in NZ) Well, I'm stoked to see this walk going ahead. You two have the grit, and the dream - I'm just so proud of you. Go do it, and take pics along the way - post them up if you can. What a great way to spend some months.... admire the Hell out of you two. Hi to the Gurlz too.
Ciao Renato and Maggie, We hope you experience a magnificent walk along the Via Francigena! We are the American women you met at the Hotel Antico Pozzo in San Gimignano. We pray for your safe travel~ Maria, Sharon, Tammy, Yansi and Cheryl~
Sounds like a great idea, Amelia and I are usually looking for something to do at 3am!
