Cape York September-October 2011

John Hepworth and Renato set off from Sydney for The Tip on CapeYork Peninsula on 19 September 2011. We arrived at Seisia on 1 October having travelled the Old Telegraph Track route. John returned to Sydney on 4 October and Maggie will Join Renato on 8 October for the return trip. The route from Sydney to Cairns was roughly via Muswellbrook, Moree, Carnarvon Gorge, Mackay (to visit Andreas), Townsville, Hughendon, The Lynd Junction Atherton and Cairns. From Cairns we went via The Daintree, Cape Tribulation, the Bloomfield Track, Cooktown, Lakefield National Park, The Archer, Dalhunty River Crossing, and the Old Telegraph Track to the Jardine River. Then on to Seisia and The Tip. We also visited Thursday Island and Horn Island. Enjoy a few of the photos mostly courtesy of John the Invincible photographer!
